I need a quick beta before I post the backup fic, other than that it should be ready.
21st-Nov-2007 07:09 pm (UTC)
Oh, fuck. I thought you'd already had it betaread. I can't do it; I'm at work and can't e-mail. Can you find someone on your friendslist really fast?

Technically, finding a beta hasn't ever been one of the things we said we'd do as mods for this ficathon, but we've been trying to facilitate finding betareaders to get the fics posted faster.

There you go, all done and posted. Sorry for the mix up. You said to hold on to it just in case and I usually don't have my person fic beta-ed unless it is for a ficathon so I was waiting to see if you still wanted it.

Fixed the html problem, now all it needs is tags.

Hurrah for all the mods' hard work!

Thank you! It's so wonderful to see everyone enjoying their stories!

Thanks for organising this! Well done - especially in getting all the backups filled and done.

You're welcome! Looks like there's plenty of awesome Teyla fic floating about in this year's batch of fics too!

GO mods! (but you have the link to my fic, #10 What Our Hearts Sing, going to #12 Weight of a Feather.) :)
21st-Nov-2007 08:07 pm (UTC)
Oh, hell! *facepalm* Comes of wanting to get them out fast there so everyone can read, I guess. I'll fix in a sec. Thanks!

Thank you! *bows on behalf of self and meeshy*

Heh. We have all the fics completed, actually. After last year, I was determined that everyone would get their fics near-simultaneously. The "forthcoming" notation on the masterlist only denotes a fic that hasn't been posted, not one that's not completed.

There was one mix-up with me thinking one story had been done and betaread, when it had only been finished, but other than that? They're all written! I appreciate the offer to write, though.

I'm fairly certain that Meesh and I will be doing this again some time next year. We're crazy. And it's fun! Plus, God, the rush of getting fifty-plus fics in one day? Awesome.

Wow, what a great list of stories! Good work everyone!
22nd-Nov-2007 01:37 am (UTC)
Everyone's done a wonderful, amazing job, I completely agree!
22nd-Nov-2007 10:49 pm (UTC)
Hey, will you offer the prompts up for adoption so people can pick what pings them?

I always have problems inventing the seeds of the story and would love to raid sift through them.
19th-Dec-2007 02:27 pm (UTC)
*facepalms at self* I totally forgot to reply to this. Sorry!

Anyway, I talked it over with meeshy, and we feel kind of odd doing that, given that it wasn't in the initial nature of the ficathon. Neither of us knows how everyone who submitted prompts would feel about it, and also, frankly, we have too much going on in RL to do much with the comm right now.

Next ficathon, we'll see how everyone feels about offering up prompts after the fic exchange, and decide from there.
